Brie de Nangis is made in the town of Nangis, just southwest of Paris, France. It is a close cousin to the stronger Brie de Meaux, however this is not to imply that it is a mild lightweight Brie. Its subtle flavours and smooth tang make it more of a medium strength Brie. Brie de Nangis therefore is a very versatile cheese, ideal on a cheeseboard or as an appetizer before dinner as it is not overpowering and is very smooth on the palate. This cheese also pairs very well with a Sauvignon Blanc wine. Not suitable for vegetarians and is unpasteurised.
