Kaltbach Gruyere is a traditional Swiss cheese, cave aged for 12 months. The natural, rusty brown rind is hard, dry and pitted with tiny holes. The cheese is darker yellow than Emmental and the texture is more dense and compact. It has a nutty, rich, slightly sweet flavour and, is popular used for fondues alongside Raclette. Known for its strong and smooth, yet not overbearing taste. Lactose- free. Not suitable for vegetarians and is unpasteurised. ALLERGENS IN CAPITALS - MILK.
